Margaret A. Bancroft has extensive experience in advising fund boards, independent directors and fund advisors.
Ms. Bancroft is an active participant in the American Bar Association and New York State Committees on Securities Regulation. She was a founding member of the Committee on Investment Management Regulation of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and has recently served on the New York City Bar’s Securities Regulation Committee. She was an adjunct professor of law at New York University School of Law for more than 25 years. Ms. Bancroft is a member of the American Law Institute. She has also served as a Trustee of the Securities and Exchange Commission Historical Society and has been a Visiting Professor of Law in Hungary, Estonia, the Czech Republic, and Kaliningrad, Russia, teaching a short course on principles of American corporate law. She has been a longtime member of the Board of the Visiting Nurse Service of New York.
